Privacy Statement
MOVISIE respects the privacy of visitors to its website and ensures that the personal information provided is treated confidently and in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act. The information provided by the users will be used to comply with their requests and to enable us to provide our services. Personal information is used solely for the purpose for which it has been obtained.
This Privacy Statement means to inform you of MOVISIE’s policy regarding collecting and making use of personal information. By using this website you give us permission to use your personal data as described in this Privacy statement.
1. What is MOVISIE?
MOVISIE is the Netherlands centre for social development. Our mission is to promote the participation and independence of citizens. We do this by supporting and advising professional organizations, volunteer organizations and government institutions in the field of welfare, care and social development. Five themes are central to our work: Social cohesion, Volunteer effort, Domestic and sexual violence, Vulnerable groups, and Informal care.
2. Which personal information will be used?
We will use information on visitors to our website, obtained from cookies (see item 5). If you register on our website to use one of the services offered by MOVISIE we will be able to use the information provided by you: first name, surname, position, name of organisation, kind of organisation, address, postal code, city, gender, date of birth and email address. All these data will be processed together with your IP address.
3. For what purpose does MOVISIE use these data?
MOVISIE processes your personal data in order to execute the services requested and in order to maintain a relation with you. Your personal data are also used for carrying out requests, such as sending a newsletter. Moreover the data can be combined and analysed for marketing aims and for conducting statistic research.
4. Who does MOVISIE supply data to?
MOVISIE will not give your data to a third party without your consent, unless MOVISIE is forced to do so by law. MOVISIE however can give (part of) your data to organisations which are allied to MOVISIE. MOVISIE preserves the right to supply (part of) your data in case of transfer of property of (part of (the activities of) MOVISIE, for example in case of a merger or take-over by another organisation. MOVISIE will, in case your data have to be given to another organisation, do its best to inform you, for instance by putting a message on the website or an advertisement in a national newspaper.
5. What are cookies?
A "cookie" is a small data file sent by a web server to store on your computer hard disk. A cookie contains information on you as visitor to our website. A cookie can only be recognised and read by the server that placed it on your computer. The cookie tells MOVISIE that you have returned to a certain page and helps MOVISIE to monitor your search category preferences. With this information MOVISIE can improve its website and services. In order to protect the right of privacy of the user, all information collected through cookies is general and anonymous. It is not possible to identify a user by means of this information. You have the opportunity to set your computer to refuse cookies
6. MOVISIE’s responsibility regarding links
The MOVISIE website includes links to websites operated by third parties. MOVISIE is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external websites.
7. How does MOVISIE protect your personal details?
MOVISIE takes suitable technical and logistical steps to ensure the security of all information we collect from risks such as loss or unauthorised access. MOVISIE will keep your personal data as long as is needed to execute the services offered .
8. Changes to this Privacy Statement
Should MOVISIE decide to change its Privacy Statement, these changes will be altered immediately in this Privacy Statement.
