Personal data processed

Movisie processes your personal data when you use our services and/or when you have submitted such data to us.

This is the overview of personal data that we process:

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Sector and title of employment
  • Other personal data that you have actively submitted, for instance by creating a profile on this website, by correspondence and by telephone
  • Your replies to questions and assignments during online training courses
  • Internet browser and type of appliance
  • Bank account number

Sensitive personal data processed

Our website and services do not intend to collect data on website visitors under the age of 16, unless with the permission of their parents or guardian. However we are unable to check whether a visitor is over 16 years old. We advise parents to remain involved in the online activities of their children, to prevent data being collected on children without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data of a minor without such permission, please contact us at privacy@movisie.nl, and we will proceed to remove it.

The aim and basis for processing personal data

Movisie processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To finalize your payment
  • To disseminate our newsletter and/or other information mailings
  • To be able to phone or email you when needed to provide our services
  • To inform you on changes in our services and products
  • To offer you the opportunity to establish an account
  • To deliver goods and services to you

Automated decision-making

Movisie does not take decisions on the basis of automated processing that may have (considerable) consequences for individuals. This concerns decisions taken by computer programmes or automated systems without the intervention of a person (for instance a Movisie staff member).

How long do we save personal data

Movisie will keep your personal data for a maximum period of seven years and never longer than is strictly needed to realise the objectives  that your personal data were collected for.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Movisie will not sell your data to third parties and will only supply them when necessary to realise the delivery of our agreement with you or to comply with legal obligations. We will conclude  data processing agreements with companies that use your data on our behalf, to ensure a similar level of safety and confidentiality of your data. Movisie remains responsible for these procedures.

Cookies, or similar techniques, used

Movisie uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that will be saved in your computer, tablet or smartphone browser when you first visit this website. Movisie applies cookies with a purely technical functionality. They help to ensure that the website functions appropriately and that for instance your preferred settings are remembered. These cookies are also used to allow the website to function well and to optimise it. We also place cookies to track your surfing behaviour to allow us to offer tailormade content and adds.

We informed you about these cookies and asked your permission for placing them during your first visit to our website. 

You are able to cancel cookies by adjusting your internet browser so that it does not save cookies. It is also possible to remove information that was saved earlier by adjusting your browser settings.

Third parties also place cookies on this website. These include for instance advertisers and social media companies.

Access, correction and deletion of personal data

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent for processing data or to object to the processing of your personal data by Movisie, and you are able to allow data transfer. This means that you can ask us to send the personal data processed in a computer file to you or another organisation that you identify.

Requests for access, correction, removal, or transfer of your personal data, or requests for withdrawal of consent or objection to the processing of your personal data may be sent to privacy@movisie.nl.

To ensure that the request to access personal data has been made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your identity certificate with the request. In this copy please blacken your picture, the machine readable zone (the zone with numbers at the bottom of the passport), the passport number and your Citizen Service Number, to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but always within four weeks.

We would also like to point out the possibility of launching a complaint with the national supervisor, the Dutch DPA.

Protection of personal data

Movisie takes the protection of your data seriously and has taken appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access, undesired publication and unpermitted changes. If you are under the impression that your data are not adequately protected or have indications of abuse, please contact us at privacy@movisie.nl.
